Choose Visionary School Board Leadership

About John S. Bishof III

I grew up in town, attending Jackson Elementary, Bryan Middle School, and York High School. The quality education I received in District 205 prepared me for the University of Chicago, where I graduated with a degree in Economics. I’ve worked on the Chicago Board of Option Exchange and then moved into Government Finance where I structured over $500 million in technology leases. Currently, I am a stay-at-home dad to three kids. As soon as my kids were in school, I started my volunteer career. You may have seen me on the fields as Coach for Soccer, Baseball, Wrestling, and Football. At school I was the PTO treasurer in Forest Park, and after moving back to Elmhurst I immediately volunteered as an Edison PTA Board Member. I started as President Elect and then President. Currently, I hold the position of Web Administrator. I plan to continue volunteering for my kids and for the entire community. I pledge to put our students first. Their development and education is my primary concert. I pledge to support our teachers, administrators, and support staff. I believe that education should be left to the educators and not dictated by special interest groups. Finally, I pledge to be a good fiscal custodian for our community. Property taxes are higher than ever, I want to ensure we utilize those funds in ways most beneficial to our students and educators. Vote for me, I won’t let you down.
